Hi Julie!

My 3great grandfather was Isaac A. Varnes born in Perry County, PA approximately 1831. I do not have any information regarding his siblings or parents, but I have been searching for any clues and thought that this is an avenue I have not tried previously.

He was born in PA, married Sarah Jane Kerlin of Juniata County, PA and then started his journey westward. They did live in Cass and Clinton Counties of Inidiana, where they had two sons. Isaac ended up in central Illinois where my family remains today. I am not sure if its possible of them being directly related, but thought it was worth a shot.

Best regards,
