Hello,

I hope that I have been able to find a connection for my Varnes family from Pa. I know very little of my George Varnes before he came from Pa to Ohio aroune 1815 settling in Lake Twp., Ashland County, Ohio. Except that from his tombstone he was born in 1765. He was married two times with his first wife (unknown) had 8 children, one being my ancestor, Martin Varnes. The oldest child was Jacob was born in 1789, then George born @1789 and then my Martin born @1797, then Catherine and John, Philip, Henry, and Esther. His first wife died and he married an Elisaebth Unknown @ 1810 and they had six children together. Their first child Daniel was born in Pa, and their next child was born in Ashland County, Ohio in 1815 her name was Susannah. I don't know if this will help you determine if we can make a connection, but I hope you can help me figure out if my George was connected to Conrad Werntz.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Deb (Varnes) Abel
