Hi Morton, thank for answering. Mark was a typing mistake I have Joseph's wife as Mary to, Joseph and Mary are my gggg grandparents their daughter Dailtha Varnell married married Benton Varnell in Marengo Co. Alabama in 1838. I have pictures of Dailtha and Benton's Son Samuel and his daughter my great grandmother Clementine Lena Varner. In the picture of Samuel and all his children it is obvious that there is a strong indian influence, I have a picture of Samuels wife Sarah Elizabeth Grogan and she does not appear to have Indian blood so I'm wondering if the indian blood comes in on the Varnell side. Clementine Varner Towles always said her great grandmother was full blooded Indian but my grandmother (she is 89 now.) does not remember the tribe, I'm trying very hard to narrow this line down so I'm hoping your might be able shed some light in ths area. Thanks again Donna
