Obituary of BrotherJeremiah Strickland
This Brother after a long continued illness and much
suffering died on February 5th 1886.Brother Strickland
was born in the State of Georgia Feb. 12th 1812.
He moved with his parents to this county in early childhood.
He wasmarried toMatilda Varnado December 11th 1834.
He united with this Church and was Baptised Nov. 15th 1841.
His cup of life was mixed with many sorrows and
afflictions but he was one of those who bore with
patience the trials of this life, believing that all
things work together for good to them who love God.
He seemed willing to die.He has left an aged
and infirm wife and two orphan grand children,
the remainder of his household. We have reason to
believe that he is at rest with the Lord.
