My great-grandfather Frank Vargo came to the U.S. in the year 1906 from Hungary.He worked in the coal mines of West Virginia for a while,not sure of exact year or years,before making his home in Mecklenburg County,Virginia.My great-grandmother's name was Martha Vargo.They married here in the states and all of nine children were also born here in the states.I forgot the name of the ninth child last night but it was AnnaMae.My grandmother says that Papa Frank named all of his children after previous family members from the "old country" as he used to say.Hope this Helps.
