My great-grandfather Frank Vargo came to U.S. in the year 1906 from Hungary and worked in the coal mines of West Virginia for a while,not sure of exact year or years,before making his home in Mecklenburg County,Virginia.My great-grandmother's name was Martha Vargo,she met Papa Frank here in the states and they married here, all of the nine children were also born here.I forgot one of the children names last night but the ninth child was AnnaMae.My grandmother says that Papa Frank named all of the children after other family members from the "old country" as he used to say.Hope this helps.
