Sarah L. Vardeman, born ca: 1853, was the daughter of John B. and Mary Williams Vardeman. His second marriage was to Emily Campbell 11/30/1869, Nacogdoches Co., Tx
John B.[unknown]Vardeman, born ca: 1829, was the son of Henry Walker Vardeman and Willie O'Neil, Morgan and Jasper CO. GA.
Henry Walker Varderman, born ca: 1804 was the son of William Vardeman [VA-Wilkes CO., GA-MS Terr-GA] and Rachel Walker. He and Willie had three known children:
Sarah L[uvicy] - married William D. Paul
John B. Vardeman - Married twice
Thomas John Vardeman - married Elizabeth Rebecca Knight Vardeman, the widow of his uncle, James B. Vardeman.
William Vardeman [of William, Jr, William Sr] was the son of William Jr. and Jane [surname believed to be Bennett of the Va Bennetts]He married Rachel Walker, daughter of Silvanus and Alice/Alsey/Elcy [surname thought to be Pilcher] Walker of Wilkes Co.-Greene Co-Morgan Co-Jasper Co- Randolph Co. GA records.
William Jr. was the son of William Sr. of NewCastle Co. Delaware and Magdalena Peterson [daughter of Peter Petersson and Karin ? see Records of Holy Trinity [Old Swedes] Church] He served in the Bedford Co. VA. militia. He married Jane [surname unknown but thought to be Bennett. They are in Wilkes Co. Ga records by 1785.Jane married Francis Billingsly in l797 but quickly divorced him, as per Ga Divorce records. They are known to have a daughter Rhodawho married Lewis McLean and are thought to have a daughter, Hannah who married Jesse Evans.
William Sr. son of John Vardamon and wife Margaret Of New Castle Co. Delaware and brother of Johannes, Christopher, and Jane Margrita, married Magdalena Peterson [daughter of Peter Petersson & Karin ?] 4-21-1720.They moved to Goochland Co-Brunswick Co-Lunenburg Co-Bedford Co. VA.Magdalena seems to have died pre 1752 when he signed a contract of marriage with Elener He[a]rd of Lunenburg [recorded April Court 1752 in Lunenburg]Elener seems to have died as well, and he married pre 15 mar 1759 to Bridget Tinkler of Halifax Co VA [see Court Record Book 1, deed dated 15 March 1759]
William Vardeman, Sr. and Briget, sold their belongings in Bedford Co. VA 1763 and migrated to Craven Co. SC where they purchased 150 acres on the S-sd of the Enoree River on Indian Creek. The deed is dated 12-13-1766 and refers to William as a merchant. His will was probated in Newberry Co. SC in the March Court 1798.It listed only his sons:John, William, Peter and James. No daughters names were included in his will.
John Vardamon's will is filed in New Castle Co. Delaware. dated 3-17-1714, pr 4-5-1715
wife:Margaret, Excr
Son:Johannes to get land if he returns to care for mother
other chn:Christopher, William, and Jane Margrita.
Johann and Christopher remained in Delaware and can be found in those records.I believe that Jane Margrita is the one mentioned in THE RECORDS OF HOLY TRINITY CHURCH [Old Swedes] as the wife of James Senexon/Senneckson/Seneck with her surname listed as Werdeman/Werdman in the recording of their children's births.
David Vardeman gave you good advice as Jack Vardaman is THE most knowledgeable person I've meet regarding the Vardeman lines with Ed Ewing Tatum next in line.David is very good when it comes to those descended from John of Kentucky and futher west.
Hope this helps.
