My husband and I have traced his family back to Cornelis Jansen Van Texel and Catoneras. Their son Jan Cornelissen Van Tassel married Annetje Alberts. They had a daughter Catherine (Catrina) who married Hendrick Lent (Rycken). Does any one have further information on either of these two people? We know they had a son Jacob who married Elise de Ronde and then Mary de Ronde. His son William married Lea Crancklie and they had a son Abraham. He married Maria DeRonde and had a son Tobias Lent. Tobias married Marie Conklin and they had a daughter Margaret. Margaret married William Vredenburg and they had a son, George. George's daughter Clara was my husband's great grandmother. They raised their family in the Crugers/Verplanck area of Cortlandt. The family has remained in the nearby area since.
