Hello! I am looking for information regarding John Van Tassell, born 12-28-1833, died 1-6-1874. His wife was Polly Anne Lyen, born 3-5-1843, died 1-31-1894. He died in Illinois, but we have not been able to find his grave. She remarried and moved to Iowa. They had four children - a set of male twins, Frank and Fred (my grandfather). Frank died in Buchanan County, IA on 5-14-1914.
We are looking for John Van Tassell's grave to aid in further genealogical search. We have a hunch the family is of Dutch origin, but would like any additional information you may have.
