New information has come to light.
Jane was married to William KEMBLE of Cold Spring, Philipstown, Putnam County, NY by 1852.
She shows in 1860 census with William and her 3 children. Mary E. Susan, and George.
Received abstracted version of death certificate for Jane (Van Tassel) Wood.
Shows father as James Van Tassel, and mother as Janet Demsey of Cold Spring, Philipstown.
Family shows in 1850 census for village of Nelsonville, Philipstown.
Father James 38,mother Eliza 36, Jane 17, Elisha 14, James M. 8, and Glibert age 5.
Van Tassel family does not show in 1860 census for Philipstown, or Putnam Valley.
Need help locating James and Eliza after 1850, as well as who James father might have been.
