Thank you for you response.
I requested the birth record for Hannah Lossing exactly as written in whatever record it appears. Following are the two significant statements in Dougs reply.
Dougs response - The fact that the exact name "HANNAH LOSSING" only appears once in all the church books of Dutchess County - in Maria's baptism....
Dougs response - The fact that the "LOSSING" name is very infrequently found in the various church records....
Gusman - I interpret those two statements as Doug telling me that he is not able to find a birth/baptismal record for Hannah Lossing.
Annetje Lasson born - 1774
Annetje Lasson married - 1795 age 21
Doug Van Sicklen's genealgy shows the following children born to Annetje Lasson/Lawson
Maria abt 1800 *1801* birth Mother alleged to be recorded as Hannah Lossing
Can you provide copies of the exact birth records for Sally 1795 and Ferdinand 1798 including parents?
I assume that since - "the exact name "HANNAH LOSSING" only appears once in all the church books of Dutchess County - in Maria's baptism...." that the births/baptism of Sally and Ferdinand will not be recorded with a birth mother of Hannah Lossing.
There is a Mathew Lossing immediatley above Hannah Lossing in the Reform Fishkill Baptisimal record. Would you know if there is a birth/baptismal record for Mathew Lossing and if so I would appreciate it you would include that record with the records of Sally and Ferdinand.
Can you also include the church names where Sally and Ferdinand were born. I know that Maria was born in the Reform Fishkill N.Y. church.
I am asking what amounts to a lot of work. If you would prefer, you could send me the names of the churches Sally and Ferdinand were born and I will attempt to get the micro film through the LDS center in Madison.
