The only thing that I know for sure is that William Roy Vansickle was my grandfather. Almost all of the other information I have has been from the LDS. I have found three different marriage dates that span 30 years on William Vansickle's parents, so I know all about the LDS inaccuracies. This, unfortunately, is my only source at the moment. I do have a census of William Vansickle's family in 1930 in Viola, Idaho. It does seem to support that his father died before 1930 (like the LDS says) since he wasn't listed in the census. Those listed were William's mother, Mary Ellen (maiden name Stone), three siblings, Annie Laura, Alice Edith, and Henry, and two half-brothers, Lester and Orn Gutches. So I've been combining that information from what I get from the LDS, which states that Fred Vansickle is William's father, and that he was born in Palouse, Washington. But I have a suspicion that Fred Vansickle was born in Canada (no proof one way or another though).
