When you alone are driving one way down a street, and everyone else is passing you going the other way, beeping and flashing their lights vehemently as they pass you by, at what point do you conclude that you just might be going the wrong way? Or, at least, ask why you cannot find your Van Sic[k]len ancestry?
It is fine, even imperative, to question the "authorities," but there is a certain point at which you will have to step forward with your own documented research. Once again I say, genealogists are unwilling to rely upon the "Eastling affidavits." Show us something else, please. Anything.
