I checked in our local library which carries quite a complete listing of people who have been listed in the newspapers (as well as cemeteries). No mention of Allen Van Fleet, but of course that was just a long shot. I have checked on Peter W. Van Sickle,1832-1908. He probably lived here (the younger brother of my Henry....younger by 10 years...for about the same time that Henry did, Henry having come here in 1852. Either they came together or Peter came later. By the location of Peter's ranch, I would guess that he came a little later. P.W. and wife, Lillies, had a number of children. I've found lots of them in the census, but havn't kept too close track of them, since I am mostly interested in Henry Van Sickle, altho they would share parents, of course. The P.W. Van Sickles lost several children in infancy, as did many, and their deaths are recorded in the Mottsville cemetery. Most likely this is of no great interest to you, but if you needed some confirmation of your Allen Van Fleet's presence here, some of that could be relevant. I'll certainly keep you in mind should I run across other pertinent info. And do let me know what you find out about the Van Sickles in your family history. Gail
