George W. Van Syckle

Looking for any leads or info on :

George W. Van Syckle, born 1834, Kingston, New York. Lived in Indiana in 1850; married Eliza M. Webb 5 October 1859 at Cold Water (?), Michigan. Moved to the frontier of Minnesota in 1859-1860. Lived in Pine Island, Goodhue County, Minnesota. Had one daughter, Luella, 8 September 1861.

Served in Civil War as First Sergeant in Company D, Fourth Regiment Minnesota Infantry. Died of 'lung fever' at Hamburg Landing, Tennessee, 17 May 1862.

His widow remarried a man named George Lautz and eventually relocated to Texas.
