Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Fair is fair. Since we still insist on exact spelling, Mr Gusman shall be expected to provide a marriage record, or a reference to it's source, for the marriage of Luther Eastling to Maria Van SICLEN, spelled exactly as he claims. The certified bible entry clearly identifies Maria Van "SICLIN" as the wife of Luther Eastling. You are being flim-flammed, all right, but not by me. And the marriage record won't resolve the problem, unless it specifically names Maria's parents. Unfortuantely, most marriage records of the time didn't. I am still searching for the estate record for Cornelius of Murray. If/when found, that will resolve the issue to everyone's satisfaction. Although I have already spent months searching for it, I am still confident I will run across it eventually. Canadian Archives are good, but often difficult to search.
