Hi, Gary. I am also interested in Van Sickles in Michigan. Many of my family line moved from Ohio to Michigan and/or Indiana and/or Iowa (and back again). Its amazing how much and how often they moved when travel was difficult. Some of them eventually moved on to Minnesota and then South Dakota, where I was born. I am now trying to trace from my great grandfather Volney Van Sickle, who moved to Minnesota, and then to SD in my direct line. Many Van Sickles of various branches are in JW Van Sickle's book, published in 1880. It is now available again, see previous postings on this forum. I would be happy to exchange information with you or anyone else interested in Van Sickle's in Michigan.
