Mary,

Just ran across your post. In case you weren't one of the lucky ones to get caught up in the debate over Maria Van Sicklen, it is now established that Maria, b. Sep 15, 1801(the Oct 17 date was a researcher error, working from a tombstone inscription and estimating birth date) and married Luther Calvin Eastling, was the daughter of Cornelius Van Sicklen(s.o. Ferdinand) and Annetje Lawson(d.o. Simon). The above date is found in the Eastling family bible and is an exact match to the baptismal record of the Maria baptised at Fishkill Dutch Reformed Church, Fishkill, New York. Cornelius(d. Mar 19, 1850 and Annetje (d. May 12, 1849) are buried at Brighton Twp, NorthUmberland County, Ontario Province, Canada in the Van Sicklin Cemetery there. Questions? Feel free to ask.
