Dear Jeannie,

Thank you so much. Every little bit helps and that will get me a little further along. It will be a few weeks but I will try to get my hands on or at leasst get a look at that book. Rosa is buried at Godwin Cemetery in Mt Pine, AR. Cemetery records there list her parents as John Van Sickle and Martha Rough. I also had found a differnt Martha listed in a family tree as her mother, but had no luck with either of those names. Through Garland, I knew their father was probably a John Van Sickle from California. Like you, I have found nothing on him, but will now be increasing my efforts. I will also start working on the new name that you have provided me as her mother. I'll keep you posted.

I have a couple pictures of Rosa who was known as Rossetta to her grandchildren, her husband, Garland, and his second wife Ada. If you would like for me to send you copies, let me know. I have an aunt that is living and a grandchild of Rosa's. I will be talking to her in a couple weeks as I also run by Godwin Cemetery. I am hoping that she can give me additional information. I know from her that Garland either ran or owned a store on Cedar St. in Hot Springs.

Again, thanks and stay in touch.
