I have a ggg grandmother whose name was listed on her daughter's 1913 death certificate as Vacilla Bowman. I am wondering if whomever filled out DC did not know the correct spelling or pronunciation and her maiden name may have been Vansicle which is close to your name. Any relatives born about 1800-1820 in Beaver Creek, Washington County, Maryland?
Any help appreciated.
