Thank you for your reply. I have been “working on” the Vansickles for a long time. I got some of my information from Dr. R. J. Vansickle. He was my grandmother’s second cousin.
I descend from William Vansickle's daughter, Sarah, who married William Treadway and moved from Arkansas to Vansickle, Texas with her brother Miles Vansickle.
I believe William is Ephraim Vansickle’s oldest son.
I do not know if Mary Elena Leah is his mother or not. I suspect not. Do you know if William is her son?
This is the oldest record I have been able to find for Ephraim:
1815 - 1816 Lawrence County, Missouri Territory Tax List
Ephraim Vansickle is listed for 1815.

Do you have anything older?
Ephraim is most certainly dead by 1839.
Who is Andrew Vansickle from N.J.? How do you know Andrew is Ephraim’s father?
