According to ‘Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary’ (1985 Merriam-Webster, Inc.):
…denizen ……is defined as:
1. INHABITANT
2. one admitted to residence in a foreign country; esp: an alien admitted to rights of citizenship.
3. one that frequents a place.
So, my use was in line with the first and third definitions. I assure you no offense was intended.
However, in the future, whenever I refer to your efforts in a citation, I shall simply state “according to Richard Alan McCool”.
