Hi Carol,

I wondered if you could help me with my Van Sickle line?

My grandfather was Peter Van Sickle, born 1887 in S. Dumfries. His father was Peter, born 1864 and mother was Lillian Grant. His grandfather was also Peter, born 1814 in Jerseyville.

My grandparents moved from Littles Corners back to Jerseyville in 1916 to live with relatives, while my grandfather did carpentry work there. This is when and where my mother was born - their 3rd child.

I have all the history up to the birth of Peter in 1814. It's at this point that there seems to be nothing more on the parents of this Peter. His father was to have been Peter and his mother Jane Rosbrugh. I can't seem to find anything more from here.

Would you have any further info. on this line? Also, is this the line coming from Ferdinandus as I have read on many of the ancestral lines?

Any help would be much appreciated.
