Thanks for the suggestion. Delaware County was one of the areas I was looking into.

I had hoped my line did came from Ferdinandus, as I have studied he and his descendants to great detail, hoping to find my own line.

The only little clue I have to my mystery is that Stephen had a stepfather named Nehemiah Blake. I have traced Nehemiah, and I found only one marriage for him- to Elizabeth Pagett. Elizabeth was already married to Nehemiah when Stephen was born, and so I know Elizabeth couldn't be the mother.

This family is driving me nuts! I'm great at helping others with their families, but stink at finding my own! Oh well, I guess half the fun is getting there.

Thanks again, and I will be sure to check into Delaware County.
