Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

"The Peter Van Sickle that you are looking at, is not the one that came to Perry Co., Ohio from Sussex Co., NJ is he?"

My Peter settled in Delaware County, Ohio, where he died in 1843(b. 1749, s.o. Ferdinand VS and Margrietje Laan). There was an Andrew(b. 1831) in Ohio who was s.o. another Peter(b. 1806) and Julia Pickard, but I don't have anything on that Andrew beyond his birth. 1806 Peter was a grandson of 1749 Peter(father was Abraham). Perhaps there is a link, but I don't have enough info to know for sure. Andrew and Peter are common names in this group.
