VanSickle Family Genealogy Forum
I couldn't agree more. There has been nothing new come out on this line in some time. It has simply been a back and forth battle about the reliability(or lack thereof) of family folklore. Like you, I welcome new information and references to new sources. That is why I made the statement several days ago that I would quit responding, unless/until something new and significant should turn up. I should have done that a long time ago, but my concern over interested researchers who might be misled sucked me into a no-win scenario. E-mail was not an option, as Eddy keeps changing his to avoid receiving responses to his posts. The facts have been presented(several times). No need to keep rehashing them.
There are 2 Van Sicklen lines that interest me. One is the line we have been discussing - Cornelius Van Sicklen Sr of Dutchess County. The other is Peter Van Sickle of Shawangunk NY to Sussex, NJ, to Ohio. Both lines include marriages into my primary lineage - Van Keuren/Van Curen. I have very good records on both through the mid 1800s, and would love to have more recent info. Anyone having significant information on either may contact me here or through e-mail.
