Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My father's name was Frederic Andersen. He posted a couple of messages to this forum. (He passed away a year ago last October.) Genealogy was a hobby that we both loved. My father concentrated more on the VanSickle Family than I did.

I will go through my father's notes, but I can tell you that the book that was published in 1880 was very inaccurate. Among other things it listed(p. 186) my 3rd great grandmother, Sarah Ann VanSickle as being alive in 1880 with no children. In reality she had children before she died in 1871.

With Christmas coming I won't have a lot of time for research, but I will look for more info as soon as I can

Beth Evans
