Alternate spellings of theses names include Vanski, Vanscoy, Polly, Powley, Polley.

I am looking for information about Joseph Vanscoy and Eliza A Pauley of Jackson County, OH.

They can be found on the 1850 census (Jackson TWP, Jackson County, OH).

They were married 1838 in Jackson County, OH.

I suspect that these two may be the parents of my Arminda Vanscoy (m. Harmon Cotterell in Pike Co., OH).

Does anyone have information about what may have happened to them after 1850? I think Joseph died around 1854/5 and his widow remarried Samuel Kinnison in 1856.
