BURLINGTON BUSINESS MAN COMMITS SUICIDE
Chas. S. VanPatten, a native of Burlington, manager and treasurer of the Malted Cereal Company of that city, died at eleven o'clock Thursday morning of last week, about an hour after he had shot himself with a .38 calibre revolver.He was in the basement of the manufacturing plant of which he was in charge, when he used the revolver and was taken to the Mary Fletcher hospital, where he died without regaining consciousness.The family cannot give any reason for the act.
