Would like to correspond with anyone working on Vanness/Vannest and Card families in Ontario @ Lennox and Addington or possibly in Frontenac County as well, and some families did go south to Michigan and possibly to other States.
I have an Isaac Vannest born 1808 married to Mercy Card born 1812. She was a sister to Elizabeth/Betsy Card born 1802 who was married to James W. Vanness/Vannest born 1794.
Does anyone know if James and Isaac were brothers? If so, who were their parents?
In same Card family above another sister to Elizabeth and Mercy was Mary Elizabeth/Polly Card, my own ancestor, who married Oren Jackson in 1818 at Kingston, Ontario.
Have been piecing together these families for five years with marriages, death records, census's, etc., would appreciate any new info and glad to share what I have.
