On a list of Pensioners for the War of 1812, is a John Van Nest, wife Jane, Warren Co., 16063, served in Capt. James Williamson's company of the Sussex (NJ) Militia, as a private. (Parts of Sussex County became Warren in 1824) Does anyone recognize where this John with wife Jane fits in? Most soldiers in that war were born in the time frame of 1780-1794, though I suppose they could have been older. Notify Administrator about this message?
