Dear Van Nest Family Researchers,
Three years having elapsed since my query was first posted here, I ask the indulgence of Forum readers to post again:
Seeking additional information on the family of Mary Jane Van Nest and Gustavus Abeel, of Essex County, New Jersey.
Mary Jane Van Nest married 26 July 1827 Gustavus Abeel, born 20 March 1799, son of John Abeel.
According to "The Duyckinck and Allied Families", this couple had issue:
1. Catherine Van Nest Abeel, m. Oct, 18, 1848, Henry L. Janeway.
2. Abraham Van Nest Abeel, died young.
3. Mary Gertrude Abeel, m. Henry W. Duryee.
4. Sarah B. Rutgers Abeel.
Any help in better defining this family group gratefully received,
