Ok - so I'm trying to figure out my family tree... and I'm stumped!! I've lost contact with most of that side of the family and I'm hoping someone out there might have some answers for me.
Ok, so - my father is Richard Van Ness from Paterson NJ. He had three brothers - Cornelius C.(died 4/23/81 at the age of 41), Frederick J.(born 7/31/35,died 3/7/71, married to Patricia Agnes(born 3/20/42, died 12/11/70), and Charles Henry (died 11/23/1964). He also had two sisters - Mary E. (married to John Cook, and later to William Wassamer) and Margaret. His mother is Alice (Wanamaker) Van Ness Glover born 4/29/1917, and father Charles Henry Van Ness who was born 1/5/1957 and died in 1957 at Paterson General. I don't have any information earlier then that due to the fact my grandfather - Charles Henry - passed when my dad was 5. I do know that Charles Van Ness had his mother's last name...but I do not know who she was and did not know his father either!!
I know that Cornelius Charles (Neil) was in the service...he was a parachuter or something like that but was injured and in a body cast...he did heal. He married a Jean Marie Olree in 1960 and had two children - Forest Cornelius & Debra Jean Van Ness. I don't know where they are and would LOVE to get in contact with them since they are my cousins. Neil then lived with Helen Munks (never married) and had four children - Neil, Helen, Christopher, and Mary. I know Mary E. passed away (born 1967, died 1994). I found Neil in Florida. Don't know what became of Helen or Christopher. I also found out that Helen had a son James Van Ness (kept her last name) who is being cared for by Maggie Munks. Would love to know more about them.
Frederick James was married to Patricia Agnes McIntyre (who was born 3/20/1942, and died 12/11/1970). I believe their children are Charles Henry (2/10/1961), Elizabeth Ann (5/16/1962), Linda May (7/20/1963), Frederick James (1/23/1965), and Dennis Gerard (4/19/1966). Don't know anything else about them. Would like to know where they are, if they have children/married etc.
Charles Henry married Susan Collobra (spelling?). They had two children: Charlene and Veronica (Ronnie). I am in contact with Charlene and I know where her sister is.
Does anyone have any information for me?? Or is anyone related??
