I am now under the assumption that George and Isabel Leal were not married, but that my Isabel Van Ness is their daughter.
At least I know she is Isabel Leal's daughter and George is supposed to be the father.
I have traced Isabel Van Ness to Nacogdoches and have found her in several census' after looking long and hard.
She had children with Marcelino Cruz and one of their daughters is my great grandmother Inez (Nancie)Cruz.
I don't suppose this is your line,but I do have information on her whereabouts up until the 1920 census in Nacogdoches
If she is one of your relatives, do you...
know what year she died and where she is buried? She was 78 in 1920 so I don't suppose she lived too much longer than that.
Back to George...do you know what happened to him after he left San Antonio area? I heard he went to Eagle's Pass with Isabel Leal, but don't know if he died there or where she died and where they might be buried.
Do you have any info on that?
