Franklin J. Van Houten of Horicon passed away Monday, July 25, 2005 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 77 years old.
He was born April 7th, 1928 in Milwaukee to Franklin John and Elizabeth (Huash) Van Houten. Franklin married Barbara Washburn on May 20, 1950 at St. Killian's Catholic Church in Hartford.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Barbara: eight children, Diane (Paul) Hauser of Rubicon, Sharon (Larry) DeBlare of Horicon, Franklin (Virginia) Van Houten of Oxford, Debora (Paul) Parpart of Horicon, Sandra (David) Moll of Mayville, William (Cheryl) Van Houten of Burnett, James (Zita) Van Houten of Clinton and Clara (Christopher) Friess of Burnett; 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is furhter survived by other relatives and friends. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, Clara Stefan and two sisters, Virginia Lentz and Vaudis (Hugh) Buchite.
In accordance with Franklin's wishes, private family services will be held. Shimon Funeral Home of Hartford is assisitng the family.
