Rachel,

My name is Fred F. Van Houten. My family is originally from Patterson, NJ. I am the son of Frederick Peter, who is the son of Frederick V. (my grandfather). I have my Van Houten family tree traced back to 1648. I could not pinpoint if any of the people you mentioned were in my direct line although we have both Courneliouses and Rachels in my family. Two great resources for your searh are: History of the City of Patterson and the County of Passaic by William Nelson can be found at the Patterson library and; Pre-Revolutionary Dutch Houses and Families by Rosalie Fellows Baily. Both have a wealth of information and the Patterson library has many more books about the various Van Houten families.

I hope this helps.

Fred Van Houten
