I am researching Peter Van Houten who married Mary Brady in
Sussex NJ in 1805. This Peter is not the same one that married Elizabeth Berry and Elizabeth Allen. This Peter moved to Marion Ohio in the 1820's. He may have had the following brothers, Isaac, John and Ralph. He was born around 1780 according to the census. He may have had the following children, David, Maria (Mariah), Anne, Caroline, Susan, William and John. The children married in Marion, Ohio. I am descended thru his daughter Anne, who married Dexter Bates. I would like to know who his parents were, and any other info that someone may have. I have more info that I would be glad to share. Peter died in 1848 in Marion Ohio. He lived in Wantage, Sussex Co., NJ before moving to Ohio. The other surnames I am researching are Bates, Brady and Walling. All but Bates were from Sussex NJ and all moved to Marion, Ohio. Regards, Carole Lawson
