Hello: I contacted you several months back about a Anne(Amy) VanHouten born 1812 NJ who married a Dexter Bates 29 Apr 1830 in Marion Ohio. I am trying to make a connection to her parents. A cousin says her father was Peter Van Houten and her mother Elizabeth Berry. In the 1850 Census Bis Island Township, Marion Ohio, Anne is listed with her husband and 4 of 5 children, she is living next door to Mary Van Houten Age 68 and two girls, Mary A. VanHouten age15 and Susan VanHouten age 17. Ann is not shown on your Ancestry file with a Peter VanHouten and Mary Brady, Also a David VanHouten born 26 Mar 1806 is shown under Children with Harriet, Susan, Mary and ? VanHouten who were born 1825 and later. Nor is she shown under Peter VanHouten and Elizabeth Berry. The children under that file are all born 1801 to 1816. Is David listed under the wrong mother? Are the two girls with Mary VanHouten her children or grandchildren? Anne VanHouten is my GGgrandmother. I noticed that one of the sons born to Peter and Elizabeth is named Martin as is my Ggandfather who married Elizabeth(Betsey)Bates, daughter of Anne and Dexter. I wonder if you can give me some input. When we corresponded before you didn't have this Anne in your database. Since then I have married and my new name is Carole Lawson.
