Judie,
The problem I have with your conclusion is:
David Van Hook, son of Ken. VH was born c1805.
In 1850, he was age 45 and living with his father.
In 1860, he was age 54, single and living in Person County.
David Van Hook of Macon County was born c1816.
In 1850 he was age 34 and in Macon County.
David of Macon County was reported to have had two brothers, John and William (Ebenezer Myers Family History). I believe John was killed in Macon County in 1856. Ken. Van Hook of Person County did not have a son, that I know of, named William.
I would like to hear your opinion of the above information. Please contact me direct if you like.
