It was David Van Gundy, Jr who, along with David Denney, Jr took a flat-boat load of salt pork from OH to New Orleans abt 1820-21. Neither went back to OH..Van Gundy married in IL in 1822 & Denny became a riverboat capt, supposedly died of yellow fever.
