Krefelder Anzeiger

I've read in multiple documents that a Krefeld newspaper of October 10th, 1908 reported the names of people who left Krefeld in 1684 for Germantown, PA. One such was from Ralph Johnson in which he reported that the Crefeldt Anzeiger on that specific date, reported a list of the names; one of whom was Arnold Vossin (Arnold van Vossen).

I visited the Stadtarchiv in Krefeld today, and was not able to find such a report. Perhaps the date was different. Since so many documents make this reference, someone may know the correct date.

The opinion of a number of Krefeld sources is that a better name of the newspaper was Krefeld Zeitschrift. There was for sure a newspaper called Krefeld Zeitschrift, the 1908 bound copy of which I studied this day. The front page of each issue had near the top this headline "mit dem Krefelder Anzeiger verbunden" meaning the Anzeiger was a part of that paper, I believe.

No one at the "Stadt Bibliothek" nor the Mennonite Church nor the "Stadtarchiv" thought there was a separate newspaper with the Anzeiger name. In those days there was a midday edition and an evening edition. I read both versions, three times through (drei mal durchgelesen) and could not find an article that gave such a report. Can you help with the correct date? Or with an explanation of when and whence came this report? Thanks.
Clay
