Kelly, I am descended from Jacob Jansen Van Etten and have in my possession a book called "Van Eaton & Allied Families" written by my cousin, Steven Coulter, in 1974. He researched the family back to Holland in the 1600's. Steve refers to a book called "A Van Etten-Van Eaton Genealogy" by Kitty Bell (Van Eaton) Ruggles, 1969, which I have never seen nor do I know where you can find a copy, but it probably is more definitive for your requirements. In the book I have, Steve does list Emanuel as the son of Jacob Jansen Van Etten, marrying Antje de Hooges. Unfortunately, he doesn't delve into the lives of Emanuel's children so I know no more than that. Wish I could be of more help. Good luck.
