I am interested in John Vane of Middletown,Monmouth Co NJ who was married to Martha Grover abt 1700. A John Vane is also listed as an inhabitant of Gravesend,LI,NY in 1650, wherein lived Martha's grandfather and father, James Grover Sr & Jr.I believe this person was actually John Vaughan,who was also a resident at Gravesend and Middletown. I would be interested in corresponding with anyone who knows of his descendants or parents. I am especially interested to know if his descendants went by Vane or Vaughan.
