Does anybody have a Martha in the VANE family? Tombstone says b. 19 Dec. 1808. I'm hoping that the names in my GREEN family might help me to find the ancestry. John Elbridge GREEN (29 Nov. 1841, Malta, Morgan Co., OH - 21 Jan. 1920, St. Cloud, Osceola, FL) m1. Abigail SHANER (1 Apr. 1843, OH - 2 S 1904, Mitchell, Davison Co., SD), d/o Martin SHANER, b. Muskingum Co., OH, & Julia GROVES, b. Perry Co., OH. Martin SHANER was s/o Adam SHANER, b. PA, & Deborah DAINS/DANES/DEAN. Julia GROVES was dau/o Fredk. GROVES, b. [W] VA, & Harriet SELBY, b. MD. John Elbridge GREEN was son of Jesse GREEN, b. ME, & Martha _.
So, the maiden name of Martha is unknown, but the other ancestors of Vane GREEN don't seem to have any VANE connections. Do you have any clues?
