Thank you so much. I just recently found out that Rachel Reasoner who married George VanDyne was the mother of my gggrandmother Lucinda Davis. I believe she must have had Lucinda before marrying George VanDyne. I thought I would never find Lucinda's mother as Lucinda Davis Lipscomb lived in Preston Co. WVa with husband John(Jehu) Lipscomb and the 1870 census from Preston Co. WVA said she was born in Indiana. John Lipscomb married Lucinda in Iowa.( she has a marriage record there) Finally it is making sense, however why and how did John H. Lipscomb meet Lucinda Davis and why did they come back to Preston Co. WVa to live, although John H. Lipscomb died in Idaho.
Also, several relatives have told me Lucinda Davis was part Indian and a picture I have of her shows this. It must be from her father, the elusive Davis man that Rachel Reasoner had a daughter by, I don't know for sure if she married him or not, but her daughter went by the Davis name. If you find anything on this particular daughter of Rachel Reasoner could you keep me in mind, thank you so much.
