There is an interesting book--The Raritan-notes on a river and a family-on the Van Dykes. It ran the Jan family line but was about the family coming over from Holland. I think most of the Van Dykes were from these three lines. My dad had always said that 3 brothers came over and this has proved true but I cannot get beyond my ggrandfather Courtland who was born in Pa. in the early 1800's.
