John Van Dyke, born 1752, who married Martha Moore was not born in Holland.

His father was Henry Van Dyke, born 1721 Staten Island NY and his mother was Elizabeth Davis. I know some records say John was born in Holland, but my research has shown this to be untrue.

John Van Dyke's Revolutionary War documents say that he was born "near the New Jersey border." I believe this was the John born in Hanover Township, Lancaster Co., PA.
