The Daily Sun Tuesday 5 Jun 2001 Oneonta, New York Donald VanDusen ONEONTA — Donald VanDusen, 82, of Oneonta, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. He was born May 12, 1919, in the town of Butternuts, the son of John and Elsie (Webler) VanDusen. Don was a lifelong area resident. At one time he was a dispatcher for an Oneonta taxi company and also drove the bus for the Oneonta Green Thumb Program. He enjoyed gas engines and going to the gas engine shows and fishing. He is survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Don was predeceased by three brothers, John Henry, Leo and Doyle VanDusen. Funeral and committal services will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Norman Tiffany, retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be private at the Sand Hill Cemetery, Unadilla. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time, at which time the family will be present. Funeral arrangements are by the Bookhout Funeral Home, Oneonta.
