I've enjoyed reading all the postings while in my quest to locate my husbands ancestors. Haven't actually found any information on them as I haven't been able to get past his grandparents, so I will post a big "HELP". This is the information I have:
Clarence Dagget Vandiver b. Feb. 14, 1872 in Newark, Independence Co., AR, d. March 11, 1966 in San Bernardino, San Bernardino Co., CA. Mother's maiden name, Lynch. Married Jessie E. Arnold b Nov 16, 1881 in Alicia, Lawrence Co., AR on September 8, 1897. Her parents are Jessie Arnold and Mary F. Campbell.
Clarence and Jessie had 7 children;
May Vandiver b. Dec 25, 1899, AR
Ophelia Vandiver b. Oct 7, 1907, AR
Charles Vandiver b. 1908, AR
Ruth and Ray b. April 21, 1910, AR
Norma Lee Vandiver b. April 10, 1918, AR (my husband's mother)
Gladys Vandiver b. Jan 14, 1925, AR
This information was received from my mother-in-law and her bible.
1910 Census Lawrence Co., AR lists father from GA.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
