The full census records shows Mary and Maggie Link as domestic servants in this household. Mary, 17, is a waitress and Maggie, 21, is a cook. The two men are boarders.

I don't know if this family helped them come to this country, or whether the two girls simply took work with them. I have seen several instances in my various families where girls of a certain age went to work and lived with a family other than their own. Good luck.
